Each
partnership project -being consultancy, training or project support- is
preceeded by
one or more intake interviews. These interviews help to fingerpoint
needs and hidden
needs, goals, context and the bounderies of the project. Based on the
outcome,
Mutandiss will present an overall set-up of the project. Hands on assignments
for
trainees is key offering direct return in terms of experience and project
results.
During each project Mutandiss will report on progress and extra
or new findings. Each
project is concluded with a final discussion in which bothways
an overall evaluation is
done about the project and -if required- a "what's next"
indication.

Datacollectors
- product family
The lightweight
501 is the ideal sollution for torque audits, especially when a portable
device is required. The 501 is designed to collect data from a wide variety
of torque
wrenches, torque transducers and rundown tools.
Torque applications
:
- Residual
torque on a previously installed fastener can be measured with peak,
breakaway or restart strategies using a hand wrench, with or without
a crow's foot
extension.
- Real-time
installation torque from DC/electric, air stall or impulse tools can
be
captured with peak or pulse strategies. Angle of rotation or pulse count
can be
captured concurrently with appropriate transducer.
- Torque tool
cutoff and angle encoder accuracy can be verified off-line
- Hand assembly
and rework operations can be performed where a fastener is to
be driven to a given torque or is to be driven to a given angle past
a given torque.
- Software
connection to stand alone software but also direct communication with
QDA software. See also software.

LASER
Gauge - product
family
Through an
innovative design, this unique laser sensor utilizes two LASER lines rotated
90° from each other and crossing at the midpoint of each line. Hence
the name 'cross-
hair'. This design allows the operator to quickly and easily position
the sensor over a
countersink, hole or fastener to measure the major diameter and angle
of a countersink,
hole diameter or fastenre edge height. Designed with a molded housing,
faom handle
and finger trigger. Laser gages are available in hand held version or
build-in units for
CMM measuring equipment.

- Cross-hair
view : enables to obtain cross-section scans in two orthogonal planes
of the part. Defining the vertical dimension of the part as the Z-axis,
two scans are
acquired, one in the XZ-plane, the other in the YZ-plane. This 3D information
can
be used for analysis of a variety of features. The dual LASER design
enables the
operator to easily position the gauge over the center of a countersink,
hole, pit or
fastener. Once properly positioned, scans are automatically acquired
and
analyzed with return of measured values.
- Gain
adjustment : an internal microcontroller adjusts the LASER and CCD
automatically to optimize the signal returned from all types of surfaces,
from bare
metal, composite and every color of painted surface.
- Positioning
standoffs : sensor standoffs are used to position the sensor at
the
optimum height above the feature being scanned. The standoff of HS305CH
also
allow sufficient clearance for a clear view of the feature being measured
so that the
sensor can be positioned accurately. Standoffs are used to position
the sensor
and are not a factor in the measurement. Standoffs are removable and
different
designes can be interchanged to fit the needs of the application.
