What is Six Sigma ?

The Six Sigma philosophy is that important problems should be taken care of in projects led by well trained and full time project leaders, the Black Belts. Data and statistical data analysis is a corner stone in the approach. Intuïtion and common sense are not sufficient to wipe out complex problems. For these, a scientific approach is required.

This mathematical scientific approach is supported by the project road map, the DMAIC cycle.

Every step of the road map brings you closer to an improved proces, embedded and controlled in the organisation.

• DEFINE : defining the problem and improvement targets.
• MEASURE : measure current process performance and collect data for analysis.
• ANALYSE: identify rootcauses
• IMPROVE : generate, evaluate and implement improvement actions.
• CONTROL : secure the gains, make a controlplan, update relevant documentation.

Our goal is to make staff of our clients aware on how they work today and how they can improve in terms of processes, systems, and organisation to attain lonh term, controlled improvements.
